2017年年底，北京金融街洲际酒店正式转型成为商用写字楼；第一间进驻中国的希尔顿品牌酒店——上海静安希尔顿于2018年1月1日撤牌，更名为上海静安昆仑大酒店；同日，北京万达索菲特酒店改为北京万达文华酒店……作为改革开放的受益者，国际酒店品牌进入中国近30年。曾经，在许多人眼里住一次洋品牌的酒店是一件值得炫耀的事情，如今高高在上的国际酒店品牌却屡遭撤牌。
